Robert Ramirez
Robert “Bobby” C. Ramirez of Gustine passed away Aug. 3. He was 71 years old.
Mr. Ramirez was a native of San Jose, the fifth youngest of 14 children. He lived in Gustine for almost 30 years.
Mr. Ramirez worked in the grocery business, retiring with a 45 year career in produce. He took tremendous pride in his work and had a reputation for his unwavering work ethic, professionalism and his extremely warm and outgoing personality.
Mr. Ramirez was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed working in his yard, playing the guitar, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a lifelong baseball fan and loved the Giants.
Mr. Ramirez is survived by his wife, Nola Ramirez of Gustine; son, Edward Ramirez of Livermore; daughters, Priscilla Martinez of San Jose, Eva Ramirez of Santa Clara, and Roberta Machado of Nevada; his son Geoffrey Ross of Sacramento; his brother, Tony Ramirez of Newman; his sisters, Alice Lubers, Petra Sabedra, Mary Ellen, Minnie Chavez and Lupe Lambert, all of Galt, and Linda Garcia of Brentwood; and nine grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 9, from 11 a.m. to noon at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Gustine. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman.
