Tony Peters
Tony James Peters, of Turlock, passed away Aug. 1, at Paramount Court Senior Living in Turlock. He was 89.
Mr. Peters was born in Santa Cruz and was a resident of Turlock for two years. He previously lived in Vernalis, Crows Landing and Rio Linda. He graduated from Orestimba High School in Newman.
Mr. Peters worked at McClellan Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic for 30 years. He was a US Army Corps veteran.
He had a passion for flying airplanes and enjoyed motorcycles and photography.
Mr. Peters is survived by his sister, Lena Peters, of Patterson, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers; John Peters, Louie Peters and Leroy Peters.
Services will be held today, Thurs. Aug. 8, with visitation starting at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson followed by a funeral mass at noon. Interment will follow at San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
