Angelina O’Dell
Angelina O’Dell of Newman passed away April 10 at 97 years of age.
Mrs. O’Dell, who was known to extended family and close friends as “Auntie Jiggs” and “Annie,” was a native of Stockton.
She was born to Jose and Luisa Valenzuella.
Mrs. O’Dell was raised in Pittsburg and graduated from Antioch High School.
She had lived in Newman for about eight months after previously residing in Fremont.
She is survived by — children, William Redd of Seattle, Roberta “Tomasa” Valentine of Arizona, John Redd of Fremont, Larry Redd, Jeannine Robinson and Laurie Ann O’Dell, all of Washington, and Charlene “Cricket” Stransky of Newman.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Redd of Washington.
Mrs. O’Dell leaves multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews throughout California and Washington, as well as many friends who knew and loved her.
She was a blessing to many, and will be truly missed.
Services are private.
Remembrances may be directed to a senior center or senior meals program of choice, the Alzheimer’s Aid Society or Covenant Care Hospice of Turlock.
