William E. Morris, 94, of Newman, passed away July 7.
Mr. Morris was a native of Visalia. He was a resident of Newman for 93 years.
He worked as a chemical field man for 30 years.
Mr. Morris was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and also enjoyed raising horses and cows.
Mr. Morris was instrumental in the construction of the log cabin at the Swamp Rats in Newman.
He was the last of 12 children.
Mr. Morris is survived by a son, Errel Morris of Kingsburg; two daughters, Darlene Ignoffo of Magalia and Donna Souza of Newman; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche M. Morris, in 1991.
Visitation will be at noon Friday, July 12, at Hillview Funeral Chapel, Newman, followed by a funeral service at 1. Interment will follow in Hills Ferry Cemetery.
