Marco Antonio Ruelas of Newman passed away Jan. 14 at 26 years of age.
Mr. Ruelas was born in Modesto, and was a lifelong resident of Newman. He was a winery worker for six years.
He was a parishioner at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church.
Mr. Ruelas was an avid Raider fan, and enjoyed fishing and shooting.
He is survived by his mother, Augustina Pizarro of Newman; his father, Isaac Ruelas of Texas; his step-father, Jose Lopez of Newman; three brothers, Jose Lopez and Seth Lopez, both of Newman, and Isaac Ruelas Jr. of Colorado; his cousin, Alexander Negrete of Ceres; and many loving family members and friends.
A memorial mass will be held Friday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Hills Ferry Cemetery.
