Joe J. Alvernaz of Los Banos passed away June 6 at 90 years of age.
Mr. Alvernaz was born in Gustine. He was a resident of Los Banos for 62 years.
He was a dairyman for 60 years, and a parishioner at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Los Banos.
Mr. Alvernaz is survived by his wife, Mary Alvernaz of Los Banos; four daughters, Sam Marie (David) Alvernaz-Wallace of Los Banos, Bobbi Jo Avila of Madera, Judy (Floyd) Avila of Gustine and Tammy Saenz of Los Banos; a son, James Martin of Los Banos; and eight grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 13, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Los Banos. Interment will follow in Los Banos District Cemetery.
